Shaquille O’Neal earned his reputation through basketball, but the big man has managed to stay in the news even a decade after retiring. From his philanthropic activities to his role as an analyst for TNT, O’Neal is always busy. He is also a father to 6 beautiful kids who have grown up under the influence of their legendary father.

While he got divorced a long time back, his relationship with his ex-wife, Shaunie, is still good. However, the four-time NBA champion made an admission about adding to his family. While his youngest child is now 16 years old, O’Neal admitted he wouldn’t mind having more kids.

Recently, Shaq got to live out a childhood dream while celebrating the 75th anniversary of Tonka, a toy brand. He joined the company’s initiative of distributing toy trucks to children. He signed autographs and clicked pictures with some lucky kids. O’Neal found it fun and was happy to see smiles on the faces of the kids.

The Los Angeles Lakers legend revealed that he wanted to have kids again after seeing the smile on their faces. He said, “The look on their faces made me want to have children again.”

A lot of kids showed up and they were excited to see me, but even more excited when I handed out the gold truck that they only made 1000 of,” Shaq recalled. O’Neal admitted that he used to love playing with these trucks when he was a kid in the seventies. He even bought Tonka trucks for his children in the nineties.

O’Neal has previously admitted that he didn’t want his kids to go through what he had to go through. However, he emphasized that he will only pave the way for his children to make their own futures. He has one daughter from his relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Arnetta Yardbourgh.

Shaunie and Shaq have four kids of their own and O’Neal is the stepfather of Shauni’s son from a past relationship. Their son, Shareef, recently took part in the Summer League for the Lakers.
