Boston Celtics star Jayson Tatum has been having an MVP-caliber season. After last season’s disappointing Finals loss to the Golden State Warriors, Tatum and the Celtics started this season with aplomb. While the Celtics remain one of the favorites to come out of the East, Friday night’s loss against a struggling Brooklyn Nets team left many disappointed. However, Tatum found solace in college basketball as their season heats up.

Jayson Tatum has shown constant support to his alma mater, the Duke Blue Devils. The college team made a statement today with a clutch win against their rivals, North Carolina Tar Heels. After the embarrassing loss to the Nets, the Blue Devils gave Tatum a big reason to smile.

The Duke Men’s basketball team faced the North Carolina Tar Heels today for the final game of the regular season. Freshman Kyle Filipowski lead the team from the front yet again today, scoring a crucial 22 points and adding 13 rebounds. The young center helped Duke beat UNC for their sixth straight win. The Blue Devils will be a menacing matchup for anyone in the postseason.?

Former Blue Devil, Jayson Tatum loved the performance put up by the young stars. Along with Tatum, his Duke teammate and former Sacramento Kings star, Harry Giles III?took time to appreciate his former team on Twitter. Giles shared his excitement on Twitter?to which the?Boston Celtics?star replied “Big-time win” crediting their college team.?
