NBA Analyst Shaquille O’Neal seems to be impressed by Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry. The reigning champions faced the Los Angeles Lakers for their first game of the 2022-23 season. After the game, the NBA on TNT analysts came together to take a look at the highlights of the match-up. Evidently, the Big Aristotle was fascinated by Curry’s on-court skills as he could be heard using phrases like ‘Bang Bang!’ as the video showed Curry sprinting past the Lakers and making splendid shots.

After the Warriors beat the Lakers, Inside the NBA panelists Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley, Ernie Johnson, and Kenny Smith indulged themselves in a brief chat about the game. As they analyzed the players, Barkley indicated that Lakers stars LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis were under more pressure as the rest of the team were failing to score.

While Barkley said that LeBron, AD, and Russ didn’t fit together as teammates, Ernie asked Shaq if he was in a more ‘forgiving mode’ than Barkley after the Lakers’ disappointing performance.

“I mean they still look the same. I would have liked them to get a lot more shooters around on the ground, they didn’t do that. But you know when you’re an older team, when you’re a veteran team, you got to put guys away early,” said Shaq.

However, Shaq seemed very impressed with the early on dominance of Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

The opening night of the NBA 2022-23 season turned out to be great for the Golden State Warriors. After receiving the championship rings, the team went on to face the Los Angeles Lakers. Evidently, the Warriors are off to a great start as they beat the Lakers by 123-109. Stephen Curry became the highest scorer with 33 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Fellow Warriors teammate Andrew Wiggins became the second highest scorer with 20 points, four assists, and six rebounds.

On the other hand, despite the Lakers’ defeat, King James scored an impressive 31 points, 8 assists, and 14 rebounds. Whereas, AD scored 27 points and 6 rebounds. The Lakers Big three had a combined score of 77 points out of the 109 as Russ scored 19 points. Interestingly, AD previously said that he was looking forward to spoiling the ring ceremony for the Warriors. However, it looks like he failed in a rather spectacular fashion!

“Our first two games are against two title contenders. It’s always good to spoil a ring night. So the mindset is going up there and starting the season with a couple of Ws,” said Davis.
