Earlier in the year, Morant made a bold claim during an interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews. Andrews had an important question for the Grizzlies star. “Who do you look around the league as you are studying, and say, we’re gonna have to run through them,” she questioned. Morant claimed that the one team was the Boston Celtics.

Andrews asked him if he felt threatened by any team on the West. To this, he said, “I’m fine in the West.” These claims resurfaced after more power was added to the West. Naturally, they questioned the NBA star about the same.

Further, Ja added, “I don’t care who got something to say about it.” As his comments spread through the internet like wildfire, fans rushed to weigh in with their opinions.
