After Calling Out NBA’s “Stinker Teams”, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Teammate Rubbished “Bullsh**” Shaquille O’Neal Claims

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is one of the wisest heads when it comes to basketball. However, there have been times when his claims have landed him in trouble. Recently, Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s brother, Thanasis, hosted an episode of his podcast and invited a teammate of his who had played an integral role in the Milwaukee Bucks‘ 2021 NBA title win. They sat down to discuss some contentious topics.

The topic of ‘stinker teams’ first came up as the Bucks’ guest recalled his early days in the league. He also called out Shaq on one of his claims which left the two speakers in splits.

Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal and his claims might just be some of the most debated topics in NBA circles. There have been numerous instances when the four-time NBA champion has caused havoc in debates with his takes. Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis recently called out one of Shaq’s claims on Thanasis Antetokounmpo’s podcast.

Portis joined Thanasis Antetokounmpo to discuss Shaq and other topics. The Bucks star asserted that he was “tired of being on “stinker teams” before coming to Milwaukee.” The 2021 NBA champion played for the Chicago Bulls and the New York Knicks before joining the Bucks.

Moreover, Thanasis and Portis indulged in a hilarious light-hearted exchange when Portis ‘called B.S.‘ on one of Shaq’s statements. The two Bucks seemed quite cheerful together – interestingly, it was Thanasis’ brother who helped Portis join Milwaukee.

The 2020 NBA season ended in heartbreak for the Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo when they lost out to the Miami Heat. Portis was still under contract with the New York Knicks but the team failed to qualify for the 2020 NBA Bubble. He was basically jobless.

After the Bucks’ loss, Portis called Giannis and revealed his aspirations for assisting the team. “I actually hit Giannis up and told him I can come help the team and I can help everyone out,” claimed Portis during an interview. The next thing you know, Antetokounmpo reached out to the administration and got the deal done. The very next year, the Bucks won the championship with Bobby Portis on the team.
