The Lakers went into battle without LeBron James. Likewise, the purple and gold suffered yet another defeat against the San Antonio Spurs. It was yet another bad night for Russell Westbrook. While fans have given him serious heat for his on-court performance, things are reaching into his safe place. Things have gone too far as the fans have attacked his family. After the game, the former MVP responded.
Russ has been one of the top players in the league for the longest time. Coming off an impressive season with the Wizards, Russ made his way to his hometown. But things did not turn out well for him. He has severely underperformed for the Lakers. He has soon become a villain in the eyes of the fans. However, fans have stepped up the hate a little too far.

While speaking to the media, Russ elaborated about how the hate is really getting to his family.
Russell Westbrook responds to the backlash
After yet another off night with the Lake show, Russ went to the media. However, instead of the game, Westbrook raised concerns for his family. His wife, Nina, sent out a tweet concerning her family. After the game, Russ addressed his wife’s tweets and backed her up. He said that his family is really feeling the pressure of the hate thrown at them.

He said: “Right now, she’s reached a point and my family have reached a point where it’s really weighing on them.”

Going up against the Spurs, Russ was the lone star. Altering his role yet again, Russ couldn’t back up his good performance. He scored 17 points on an abysmal 5-14 shooting night. Moreover, his playmaking ability has also dropped dishing just 6 assists. As the point guard, his facilitating really let the Lakers down.
