The hoops community’s attention shifted toward WNBA as the new season tipped off and the much-awaited return of Brittney Griner took over the headlines. One of the fans present to witness BG in action was NBA superstar Stephen Curry’s sister, Sydel Curry. This probably proved to be the answer to Sydel’s burning question, which she directed at her fans when her family landed in unfamiliar territory after the Golden State Warriors playoff exit.

Despite the Dubs superstar Curry’s consistent efforts throughout the postseason, the team fell short in the Semifinal series against the Los Angeles Lakers. Moreover, with the loss in the Semis, Warriors under Steve Kerr faced their first playoff series loss outside the Finals.

Days after her brother’s exit from the postseason, sister Sydel Curry caught Sunday’s WNBA action between the Phoenix Mercury and the Chicago Sky. Curry took to her Instagram stories and uploaded a boomerang video of Brittney Griner’s free throw attempt. The Mercury star put up an amazing show for the audience in her second game after her return with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 1 assist. Despite her performance, the team fell short in a 69-75 loss.

Griner returned to the hardwood after a 10-month-long hiatus as she suffered an excruciating time in a Russian prison. Even though the Mercury have started off their season with two consecutive losses, the hype around the star’s performance hasn’t boiled down. Sydel also uploaded a video of her husband, Damian Lee, and their son catching up with the game beside her.
