With the success ‘Space Jam’ and ‘Space Jam 2’ have had at the box office, Lionsgate has picked up a project surrounding Dennis Rodman. The movie. ?48 Hours In Vegas? will be about Dennis Rodman?s infamous trip to Las Vegas during the 1998 NBA Finals. While playing for the Chicago Bulls, Rodman took a trip in the middle of the Finals series against the Utah Jazz.?

The trip stirred up quite the controversy around the league and amongst the media. And now Lionsgate has reportedly decided to choose MCU actor Jonathan Majors to portray the role of Dennis Rodman in this upcoming film. Majors is widely known for his role in Marvel’s ‘Loki‘. He plays the character of ‘Kang the Conqueror.’?

‘The Worm’ was known for his defensive and rebounding skills on the court. But the Bulls legend was arguably more popular for his off-the-court antics as well. For the ones who have seen the docuseries ?The Last Dance?, it covers a glimpse of Rodman?s trip to Vegas.?

The five-time NBA champion had asked head coach Phil Jackson for 48 hours to blow off some steam. And even though Rodman was supposed to be back after two days, he ended up spending more than just two days in Vegas. In the end, Michael Jordan had to fly out to Vegas to get him back for team practice.?

The first ‘Space Jam‘ movie made a whopping $250 million profit at the worldwide box office with a budget of $90 million. It became the highest-grossing basketball movie of all time. And ‘Space Jam 2‘ had a budget of $ 150 million and generated about $145 million worldwide.?

With the production of ?48 Hours In Vegas? underway, fans are excited to see how the movie will turn out. ‘The Last Dance’ gave a hint as to what went on during Rodman?s trip to Sin City. But the movie will likely cover several other topics of Rodman?s life as well.?
