With under two minutes left to play in the second quarter of the game, Stephen Curry ended up on the floor after a hard collision with Malik Monk. As the Warriors teammates put up a double screen for Klay Thompson to get an open shot, Monk may have gotten a tad too enthusiastic to close out on him.

As both Curry and Draymond Green firmly took their positions for a double screen for Thompson, the defending Monk crashed into Curry as he chased after the Warriors no. 11 in order to close out on him.

The Athletic writer Marcus Thompson II tweeted, ?Looks like Curry might?ve got the wind knocked out of him. He?s still holding his stomach,? describing the situation in the arena.

Fans trolled The Chef regardless

Fans, however, saw this as an opportunity to troll the four-time NBA champion. One fan commented, ?Steph could stub his toe and the national media would say ?steph overcoming a critical injury to carry his team to the win. He?s him.?

Here are a few more reactions from fans on Twitter.

One fan was glad to finally see the Warriors, who are infamous for their ‘illegal screens’, get called for one.

While there were some who were concerned for Curry?s well-being, others downright trolled The Chef. Let?s see if the Warriors’ star point guard can keep up his amazing shooting in the second half after that hit.
