While fans speculated various possibilities in Irving’s future franchise, the Dallas Mavericks sealed off the deal in free agency. Luka Doncic’s Mavericks turned the hoops community’s attention in its direction after the surprise Kyrie Irving trade in the middle of the season. Unfortunately, the trade didn’t work for the Mavs, as they failed to qualify for the playoffs.
While fans doubted the Dallas franchise to re-sign Irving, the franchise again surprised fans with a three-year contract for $126 million. Moreover, it instigated a harsh opinion from the popular radio host, Justin Termine.

According to AHN Fire Digital.com, Termine said, “In my opinion, this spells the end to Luka Doncic’s time in Dallas.”

Notably, Doncic is currently in a 5-year contract period which ends in 2027. Termine further said, “[The Mavs] are making a massive mistake and not learning the lessons that they know now in Cleveland and Boston and in Brooklyn.”

On the other hand, the Mavs owner, Mark Cuban, recently said that he didn’t want to repeat his mistakes and showed his interest in re-signing Irving in a radio show.
