The young core of the Oklahoma City Thunder continued to defy the odds as they moved a step closer to the postseason on Wednesday. The Play-In thriller against the New Orleans Pelicans brought the best out of the Thunder stars as NBA veterans and legends continue to show their appreciation. A season that started with minimal hopes has turned into a memorable one for the city of Oklahoma. Led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder are just one win away from securing a playoff spot.

After overcoming the New Orleans Pelicans in the final few minutes, young star Josh Giddey conveyed his mindset on Twitter. The OKC Thunder will now face the Minnesota Timberwolves for a do-or-die game on Friday.

Warriors forward Draymond Green mentioned in his Twitter “Tough Shai” after the youngster came up clutch in the final quarter. Boston Celtics legend, Kevin Garnett tweeted, “It’s time! @shaiglalex about to get that stage he been asking for. I think he’s ready too”.

SGA was not the only star on the court today. 20-year-old Josh Giddey dropped 31 points, 10 assists, and 9 rebounds, one board short of a triple-double. The 6’8 guard was all over the court today. A mid-game scuffle with Pelicans guard Josh Richardson fueled the youngster to get the job done.
