There have been numerous iconic duos in NBA history. However, very few have dominated the game at the highest level like the Kobe Bryant–Shaquille O’Neal and Michael Jordan–Scottie Pippen duos! The two iconic duos grabbed a total of nine NBA titles playing together over the years! Naturally, their success has invited comparisons over the years. NBA fans have been debating on this topic for quite some time now and a popular Hollywood actor recently revealed his answer, after being prompted by Shaq.

Shaq uploaded an interesting post on Instagram that compared the two iconic duos. In the comment section of the post, prominent actor Jeremy Renner revealed his choice.

Four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal has sent the internet into a frenzy with his latest post. Sharing it to his large audience on Instagram, the Big Diesel posted the stat sheet of two NBA Finals series from two different decades.

While one belonged to the Kobe-Shaq duo in the 2002 NBA finals, the other belonged to the Jordan-Pippen duo from the 1993 NBA finals.
Shaq and Kobe clearly had the best stats among the two sets. In fact, the legendary Lakers duo received a huge amount of support in the comment section and even actor Jeremy Renner voted for them.
The 52-year-old actor, who plays Hawkeye in MCU movies, wrote, “Look how young !!!! Diesel / mamba of course”. Even fans seemed to agree with Renner. Below his comment, a fan wrote, “MJ & Shaq would’ve definitely been a duo to see..”. Needless to mention, there were people who disagreed with the Avengers actor as well.
Were Kobe and Shaq really better than Michael Jordan and Pippen?
There is no denying that these two are arguably the best duos in NBA history. However, Michael Jordan, who was once flattered by Kobe Bryant, and Pippen have the upper hand over Kobe and Shaq.

After all, the two Chicago Bulls icons led their team to six NBA titles! On the other hand, Kobe and Shaq led the Lakers to three NBA titles. If the accolades were not enough, Jordan and Pippen have better numbers as well.

The Chicago Bulls duo played 691 games together where Jordan averaged 31.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.6 assists. Meanwhile, Shaq and Kobe played 461 games together where Big Diesel averaged 26.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 3.0 assists.
