Stephen Curry is one of the biggest household names in the NBA. He has captivated the NBA world with his on-court wizardry since stepping foot on that hardwood. He has established himself as unquestionably the greatest shooter in league history, in addition to a whole slew of other accolades.

Curry has done nothing but garnered stardom and notoriety for propelling the Warriors to the summit. However, he, like the rest of us, must deal with his mother in case he does something she would reprimand. That’s exactly what transpired when he let his tongue loose during a heated ballgame.

In 2018, the Houston Rockets were in the town to face the Warriors in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals. With the series deadlocked at 1-1, both teams were eyeing a win. Curry, however, shrugged off every chance the Rockets had to take a 2-1 lead. Number 30 decided to go off and scorch the Rockets with his masterful performance.

He dropped 35 points as he roared and shimmied his way to a blowout victory. Curry let his fans and the opposition side know that Oracle Arena was his house.

He was so entrenched in the game’s intensity that after a tough layup inside the paint, the star player was heard yelling “this is my f?king house!” While that would have certainly electrified the Oracle Arena, him swearing did not sit well with his mother, Sonya Curry.

Curry later revealed that his mom was not happy with his foul language.

Curry annihilated the Rockets. The ballgame was certain to be heated with the two formidable sides locking horns. While Curry let the crowd know whose house it was, he claimed that he barely remembered the moment.

“I blacked out,”?Curry said in his postgame press conference. The point guard then went on to reveal his mother’s reaction to his foul mouth.

“She already sent me two home videos, showing me the clip and playing it back,” he said.?“She was telling me how I need to wash my mouth out, saying to wash it out with soap. It’s a message I’ve heard before.”

Curry then admitted that his mother was correct and that he should be more mindful of his foul mouth hereafter.

“She’s right. I gotta do better. I can’t talk like that.”?

Klay Thompson also weighed on Curry’s foul mouth. He joked that he hoped Riley, Curry’s daughter, didn’t see her father swear.

Curry struggled to find a groove in the first two games of the Rockets series. That drew him a lot of criticism on social media, which naturally amplified the fervor within him. Hence, it’s no wonder Curry dropped the F-bomb following his spectacular performance.
