NBA superstar Ja Morant could face a stern penalty from the league for reportedly flashing a gun during an Instagram Live again. After the shocking incident, many former and current players have given their take on the situation. Recently, Golden State Warriors star Andre Iguodala talked about it after Draymond Green’s take. Both players talked about the responsibility of a star like Morant. Now, another former NBA champion has given his honest opinion about the whole ordeal.

While talking about the second gun controversy, both Iguodala and Green expressed their fear about the future of Morant in the league. They were worried the promising career of the two-time NBA All-Star could be derailed because of his actions.

Draymond Green talked about Ja Morant during an episode of his podcast. He touched on NBA Commissioner Adam Silver’s comments and suggested that Silver was “crushed” about the situation. Furthermore, he said that he could not understand Morant’s actions on social media. He also said that the 2022 MIP was irresponsible. Then his teammate, Andre Iguodala, shared his opinion during his podcast. He stated that he once said to Ja that he “is an image of God” and emphasized the responsibility of the superstar. However, both made it clear they do not support the point guard’s actions. Also, both players stressed the importance of having the right people around.

Now, 2008 NBA champion Tony Allen expressed his views about the issue. While most players or analysts speaking about the controversy have not played for the Memphis Grizzlies, Allen has. And he had some words of advice for the young star during his appearance on Kevin Garnett’s podcast KG Certified.

He added that the star will learn from his mistakes. Allen said, “A lot of these immature acts comes from being wealthy, being young, not knowing. I mean he is the highest-paid family member.
