O’Neal is not one to shy away from talking about issues surrounding the world of basketball and beyond it. Recently, he took to Instagram to showcase his thoughts regarding Griner.

Shaq shared a post on Instagram that compared the scenarios of two women convicted of drug charges in Russia. While Griner was sentenced to 9 years in prison, Audrey Lober was released after just over a month.

4 time NBA champion LeBron James also came out in support of Griner. However, his statements brought in a lot of slack and he issued a clarification soon after facing the backlash.
