Stephen Curry or Kevin Durant, who’s ahead on the list of the greatest NBA players ever. This question has sparked a heated debate in the NBA community in the wake of the 2022 NBA Finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics.

Fans with strong, passionate, and sometimes biased opinions have already started taking sides. Hence, a war of opinions has erupted in the media and on social media spaces.
As Curry inches closer to his fourth championship victory, Curry fans have pointed out that this easily puts the greatest shooter of all time above Kevin Durant in terms of overall greatness. At the same time, Kevin Durant fans have highlighted the fact that Steph Curry is far from being KD’s equal when it comes to efficiency and scoring.

Curry fans have been quick to point out that Steph has won a championship before KD’s arrival. If he does so again after his departure, the debate is officially over. On the other hand, KD fans have highlighted that Durant completely eclipsed Curry in the 2017 and the 2018 finals to claim the finals MVP in both of the series.

Kevin Durant is a better playmaker, finisher, defender, rebounder, clutch performer, and he’s a top 2 shooter of all time just behind Steph. KD still clears him.

It’s Durant. Steph has had more help his entire career. The one year he didn’t they basically went .500 and didn’t make the playoffs. Props to warriors for drafting well but Steph has always had a stacked roster around him.

Curry and it really shouldn’t be a debate tbh. Curry is a better player when it comes to shooting & efficiency and playmaking. And his résumé speaks for itself in the playoffs compared to KD being a playoff dropper outside of 2017 & 2021. If curry wins his 4th he would better imo

The legacies of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant
Steph Curry will always be remembered as the greatest shooter of all time. A generational talent who changed the direction of the game forever. He has won three NBA championships and two MVP trophies, one of them by unanimous decision.
On the other hand, Durant is one of the greatest scorers of all time. A prototype of a player who’s impossible to guard. At 7’1″ with his skill set, he’s unstoppable from anywhere on the floor.
