The GOAT debate is perhaps one that will never be resolved. Whether it is LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, or anyone else, the NBA’s fan base is divided in their opinion. In the latest addition to the names who have voiced their views, former player Al Harrington had a vivid take on who the best player is. In particular, he focused on Jordan and James.

Both Michael Jordan and LeBron James dominated the sport like none other. While Jordan was a product of the 80s and continued till 2003, LeBron still rocks the NBA like it’s his own house. There is no doubt that it is difficult to strike a comparison between the duo, considering they are so versatile and played in different eras.

Yet, some parallels can be drawn between them, leading to them being pitted against one another. While Jordan was a 6-time NBA winner and 14-time All-star, James has only 4 titles, but 17 All-star appearances.

Meanwhile, Harrington was in the NBA right from 1998 up until 2014. Thus, he was part of both eras. But when he was asked to compare the two generations of basketball, the now 41-year-old coach made a statement that gives ‘His Airness’ the edge over his counterpart.

According to Albert, there was no messing around in Michael’s era. On the other hand, he believes that the current herd considers LeBron as their brother of sorts. “Michael Jordan came up in the era where everybody hated each other. … LeBron has dominated an era of his little bros. … What star has LeBron had it with?” he questioned. In his opinion, it was much harder for someone like the Bulls legend to rise up the ranks and be considered as one of the game’s best.
