They have opened up a number of trade options, including a bold move involving the loss of two of their stars to create a team for the future. For the last two seasons, the Hornets haven’t really seen the light of day and are pretty desperate to be better.

Mason Plumlee and Kelly Oubre Jr. are the two being considered as possible trade options for the squad. The team needs to think on its feet as the deadline is just over a week away.

If one looks at it from a holistic point of view, it seems to be a smart decision from the Charlotte side. Plumlee is having his best season at the Hornets and has surely attracted a lot of attention. The 32-year-old has tons of experience in the league and is a great bargaining chip for the team. He has also converted 75.6 percent of his FG attempts in the last 20 games.
