After a win in Boston, the Atlanta Hawks seemed to have opened up the series. They were heading back home to potentially force a Game 7. Playing in front of an intimidating crowd, the Boston Celtics first fell apart. However, the 2022 NBA finalists managed to close out the series emphatically. Celtics star Jayson Tatum even offered an apology to $360 million worth legend Janet Jackson for not closing the series out in Boston. As the Celtics advanced to the second round, thousands of fans celebrated. And joining them were Kyle Kuzma and an NFL legend who has sided with Boston for a long time.

Despite Trae Young going off for 30 points and 10 assists, the Celtics rallied late to secure a place in the next round. As the battle in the East reduces to just four teams, the number 2 Celtics will now face the Philadelphia 76ers in the Conference Semi-Finals.

The State Farm Arena had to cancel a Janet Jackson concert to host the sixth game of what was turning out to be an extremely entertaining series. After falling 1-3 behind, a win in Boston had rejuvenated the Hawks. Moreover, they had Dejounte Murray back for tonight. However, the Celtics star duo: Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum came in ready too.

The contest didn’t disappoint. Hopeful Atlanta fans watched their side take a lead heading into the final quarter. But as we have seen many times, the fourth quarter is where the real winners come through. And so it was the Boston Celtics who came out to close the series. A Marcus Smart dagger silenced the arena.

Hawks fans were disappointed, their fight was over. But on the other side were the Celtics fans, who ran in celebrations.

They were joined by Washington Wizards’ Kyle Kuzma. The former Lakers forward was merely a happy basketball fan and he gave Jayson Tatum and the Celtics a pat for clinching the series.

Also among the Boston fans was NFL legend Julian Edelman. Last season, he followed the Celtics’ journey to the Finals and made sure to actively stand by them. Tonight, as he watched his franchise seal the deal, he tweeted out a picture that held many emotions. It was simply a click of Jaylen Brown having a moment with Celtics great Paul Pierce.
