This comes during a rough patch in Giannis’ life. The Grizzlies handed the Bucks an embarrassing loss and Antetokounmpo’s brother Thanasis is also facing a lot of flak. Some NBA officials have dismissed Thanasis’ claim to be an NBA star and ascribed his fame to his brother Giannis Antetokounmpo. Even though the Antetokounmpo brothers have moulded their individual identities in basketball, claims of nepotism have been a lingering issue associated with them. In other words, many fans tend to connect the success of the Antetokounmpo brothers with that of the influence Giannis has in the league.
