The trade rumors from the Washington Wizards camp are getting stronger. The most amount of noise is coming from the whole Bradley Beal saga that has been going on. However, Beal is not the only one on the transfer and trade radar. Another star player for the Wizards is looking for a new team. In fact, he is even willing to put the $13 million offer on the line in the hope of returning to his previous club.

Recent reports suggest that the Los Angeles Lakers are also a heavy possibility for the 27-year-old star. Although there are several other clubs on the lookout, the Lakers and LeBron James connection might just help seal the deal.

LeBron James’ connection could aid the Wizards star’s deal

Bradley Beal has been with the Wizards since the beginning of his NBA career. Beal was the third overall pick in round one by the Wizards in 2012. Since then he has represented the Washington franchise. Although he is yet to win a championship, Beal has a solid resume which makes him one of the best prospects amidst the trade saga. He has made 3 NBA All-Star appearances and was selected for the NBA All-Rookie team back in 2013. Amidst the drama surrounding his trade, another NBA star from the Wizards has joined the conversation.

Every young athlete dreams of playing alongside one of the greatest to ever do it. This privilege is received by very few in the world. Kyle Kuzma is surely among those players. Kuzma was with the Lakers from the beginning of his career in 2017 till 2021, then he joined the Wizards. However, the 27-year-old star is looking to switch sides, and he has plenty of options on his hand. Although we’re still far away from getting a final call on Kuzma’s next destination, there are subtle hints. Kuzma, having played alongside LeBron James, has won an NBA championship with the Lakers in 2020. For him to be on the lookout to be back in the Lakers camp is not a far-fetched dream.

As per NBA analyst and writer Jake Weinbach, Kuzma to the Lakers definitely has its possibilities. Weinbach recently tweeted, “Kyle Kuzma is expected to decline his $13.0M player option with the Wizards and become an unrestricted free agent this offseason.” So it is clear that at the moment the 2020 NBA champion is not prioritizing money.

Weinbach continued, “Potential suitors for Kuzma could include the Pacers, Rockets, Spurs, Kings, and Jazz. A reunion with the Lakers is also a looming possibility.” Among all his options, the Lakers’ case remains the strongest because of his connection with King James. Additionally, Kuzma’s only championship has been with the Lakers, something which he will definitely like to repeat.
