As the hosts and Reese continued to talk, one of the hosts brought up how it’s been a big week for her family. Right after Reese won the NCAA championship, her cousin, Jordan Hawkins won the men’s National Championship the day after with the UConn Huskies.

So, Reese was asked if she had met him yet, to which she replied that she hadn’t. The team at ABC News made sure to reunite the two cousins on their show during the interview. The 20-year-old was taken aback as she addressed her cousin, “Jordan, you didn’t even tell me you were coming.” Hawkins described how proud he was of Reese, along with the rest of the family as well.

Angel Reese had recently faced backlash after the LSU Tigers accepted President Biden’s invitation to the White House. First Lady Jill Biden wanted to invite the runners-up, Iowa Hawkeyes to the White House visit as well. However, Reese wasn’t pleased with her suggestion and proceeded to state that she’s rather visit the Obamas.
