Anthony Davis Saves the Day for the Lakers Amidst Russell Westbrook’s Birthday Celebration

The Los Angeles Lakers have fought hard for their recent success. In the absense of LeBron James, the main reason they could do so came on back of their duo of Russell Westbrook and Anthony Davis.

Through the wins, the Purple and Gold got yet another reason to celebrate as Brodie observed his 33rd birthday. But, if not for AD, it could have ended in a big disaster.

With Brodie celebrating his birthday, the Lakers got in a cake for the superstar. But, AD’s reflexes saved the day for the organisation when in the heat of the celebration, Russ went in to blow the candles on the cake. Fortunately, Davis stepped in at the right moment and stopped him.

With the ongoing pandemic, blowing candles could be dangerous for the whole team. AD kept that in mind and stopped Russ from doing so. Turns out not only has this duo done well on the court, but they have got each other’s back outside the hardwood as well.

The absence of LeBron James due to injury has allowed Russ and AD to share the floor as a duo. They have done a good job when it comes to personal success. However, they’ve only just started to get to winning prior to which they were 1-3 without the ‘King’. Coming off two consecutive overtime wins, they will look to settle things this time against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

A win would be the perfect birthday present for Russ given his competitive nature. Moreover, the Lakers won’t want to lose this momentum after working really hard for their last two wins.
