While the Lakers want to secure a guaranteed playoff spot, they don’t fear the play-in tournament. In fact, they could have a better narrative around them if they go through the play-in tournament.

AD said, “We’re a very confident ball club. Injuries kind of held us back this season. We play the right way, defend, rebound, run the floor, play Laker basketball. We can compete with anybody, and if that means playing the play-in games to get to the playoffs to play what is looks like Phoenix? We’re fine with that.
