MJ saw the Magic in his prime. In his rookie days, which were short-lived because of the talent MJ possessed, he saw Magic and Lakers achieve success.
The dominant display from Magic well and truly changed the course of the NBA showing the world how one team can achieve utter brilliance with consistency and determination. This was what Jordan did with the Chicago Bulls in the next decade. Fair to say, Magic’s magic motivated Jordan to get to the next level.

“I was up there laughing and almost crying at the same time, hearing my family talk, hearing Larry Bird, and when Michael said what he said, which was really amazing,” Magic Johnson said after watching the premier. “We had never heard that from Michael, for him to say that everybody thought he had turned the league around but that I was a big part of that.”
Magic showed his admiration for Jordan as he shared how his series would be different from that of MJ’s. He said that it would focus on every aspect of his career and life. The series involves his family, close friends, and everyone involved.
