Arnold Schwarzenegger has worked as an actor, a bodybuilder, a producer, a Governor, and a businessman. A number of famous individuals have been spotted at the courtside of NBA games and we once saw Schwarzenegger on the court watching his favorite player, Shaquille O’Neal. 

Thousands of fans gathered in Madison Square Garden to watch Patrick Ewing take on Shaq. In the case of these two legendary players, there was always an intense competition and rivalry between them. 

Both players have faced each other numerous times (Shaq leads their head to head 15-11). When the reporter asked Arnold what he thought of Shaq’s performance and his physical appearance. He responded with a funny story about his meal and how he got rid of all the body fat while playing the game.

As the conversation began, the reporter mentioned Shaq’s incredible physique, noting his stats as “7-1, 305 (lbs), 7.5% body fat.” Schwarzenegger responded by saying: “Well I think that is a whole new dimension it seems to me. I mean he came over the day to planet Hollywood and he ate his lunch and I mean I’m telling you, uh the waitresses went and kept feeding the food one meal after the other and I mean he must have eaten ten meals it was just staggering the way this guy devoured.”

Then he explained how Shaq handles all that food and manages on the court, saying, “you know and he burns it off again playing basketball, practicing and all this that’s why he has such a low percentage of body fat and it looks great he’s really well proportioned.”

Continuing, he reiterated how wonderful and smart Shaq is as a person; because of which, Arnold claimed Shaq will go far in his career, and he certainly wasn’t wrong. O’Neal is now an incredibly smart businessman with stakes in various high-profile companies. 

Arnold and Shaquille have been great friends ever since and often engage in a hilarious back and forth. The Hollywood star recently said that Shaq stands on a “2 foot box” while posing for pictures with him.
