Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James’ sons Bronny and Bryce have made waves in high school basketball. Bronny especially impressed many with his athleticism and dunking prowess. Several reports have suggested that he is a potential top-10 pick for the 2023 NBA draft. While three members of the James family members actively play hardwood ball, daughter Zhuri James has picked an alternate route to the athletic arena. 

Over the last few months, the James family has been in the limelight for various reasons, most notably when King James surpassed NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record in the league. Bronny stole the limelight with his impressive performances at the McDonalds All American Game and fans await Bronny’s decision on college now that his high-school days are almost over. However, King James recently revealed none other than daughter Zhuri’s future sport. 

LeBron James groomed his daughter for a different ‘ball game’

In his recent Instagram story, LeBron James shared a boomerang video of his daughter playing a game not often seen in the King’s posts. In the video clip, Zhuri James is playing volleyball! The caption on the story also includes a volleyball and a star emoji, conveying ‘Volleyball star’. It reads, “My volleyball star in the making.”

James has always made sure to emphasize his role as a supportive father in the public eye. For instance, James played himself in the film Space Jam: A New Legacy with one of the subplots of the film revolving around a father and how he comes to support his kid’s choice of passions and interests.

It seems Xhuri will not be left behind her brothers in showing her skills to the family! While Bronny has already proved his prowess on the court, Zhuri now displays her own promise in pursuing her father’s athletic legacy.

What can fans expect from Bronny in the coming years?

Having recently completed high school, Bronny is surely looking to play on a promising college basketball team. There is no clarity at the moment about his preferred college, but one report suggested that he might end up playing for the University of Oregon.

Even before that, the 18-year-old could make his debut on the international level representing the USA, as the rising star recently found a place on the roster for the upcoming Nike Hoop Summit. Moreover, King James recently revealed his wish to play alongside his sons in the largest basketball league in the country – the NBA itself.
