According to reports, the franchise is anticipated to pursue Jaylen Brown if he becomes available through trade, while also looking for a veteran coach to replace Stephen Silas. The Rockets coach’s departure has long been anticipated, and the Houston franchise is thought to be looking for a coach that places high importance on accountability.
After the rumors about Brown leaving Jayson Tatum led Boston Celtics, there have been some new developments in the saga. The Rockets have already interviewed Frank Vogel and are now looking at another prospect as a potential candidate.

Ime Udoka, who completed his tenure as a coach with the Boston Celtics at the beginning of this season, is making headlines as a new prospect for the Rockets. When Udoka left the Celtics, the Brooklyn Nets also explored hiring Udoka during the season but ultimately hired Jacque Vaughn as interim coach. It has been said that the Celtics suspended Udoka in September for several violations of team policy, the specifics of which were not published.

Meanwhile, the Rockets will interview Udoka on Wednesday, according to Kelly Iko of The Athletic. Udoka guided the Celtics to the NBA Finals in his first season, but his second season saw the club struggle as a result of his breaking of team rules. Udoka’s transgressions were substantial according to Celtics owner Wyc Grousbeck and head of basketball operations Brad Stevens. Udoka was fired by the team in February after receiving a season-long suspension for the whole 2022-23 campaign.
