Sports Illustrated named Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry as the 2022 Sportsperson of the Year. They dove deep into why he remains a winner and the person he is. The piece brought together people from his life that know him the best. One person who clearly ticks that box is his wife, Ayesha Curry.

Ayesha Curry endearingly commented on her husband’s character. She reflected on their relationship and said she has never seen him angry. “He’s not argumentative”, Ayesha said. According to her, Curry would never allow himself to get to that saturation point. Rather, he would take a step back from situations and look at multiple perspectives.

As a human being, it’s a beautiful thing to watch, but as his wife, it’s kind of annoying“, she laughed. She titled him ‘Mr. Optimist’.

This was in reference to how many people consider him the best they have ever known. From his coaches to current and former teammates, his wife, and everyone around him only ever has the sweetest things to recall about the 4X NBA champion.

The couple has known each other since they were teenagers, and have been married for more than a decade now. They have three children together.

Stephen Curry is known for his composure and level-headedness. Just as he is changed the game, many believe that “his greatest weapon is his unflappability”.

A fan had once asked her if Stephen Curry lost his cool. She said, “It’s sickening, it’s something that gets on my nerves, it really does, he does not have a temper.” Calling him the “nicest, most humble, calm human being” that Ayesha has met, she says that is also why she loves the Golden State Warriors superstar so much.
