How similar is Viola Davis to Michael Jordan?

You know you possess great skills when people start comparing you to legends like Michael Jordan. Viola Davis is undoubtedly an exceptional actress and probably very few will disagree with the claim. However, given that her upcoming movie is a sports drama, Matt Damon found it fitting to commend her acting skills by drawing a comparison between her and the sports icon who partly inspired the film.

Davis and Damon recently joined co-star and director Ben Affleck for an interview with Good Morning America. The host asked Damon and Affleck why it took them so long to release a movie together under their production company, ‘Artists Equity’. In response, Damon joked, “We probably had to do 30 years each making movies before people started to take us seriously. This was a great movie to start with for us. You know, this is the type of movie we grew up loving, you know, it’s really based on the writing and the acting.”

MJ had one demand for Ben Affleck’s ‘Air’

Several days ago, director/actor Ben Affleck revealed that Jordan personally selected Davis for the role of his mother, Dolores Jordan. Upon hearing this, the 57-year-old Grammy winner expressed her surprise and said, ?I?m just hearing about it now. So yeah, so it blew my mind. I?m glad I didn?t know about it before.?
