A new entrant recently joined other heated NBA rivalries throughout league history. Originating from a simple tweet began the feud between former teammates Kyle Kuzma and Spencer Dinwiddie. The Brooklyn Nets guard fired shots at the 27-year-old even saying he’s “not even a third star really on a good team”. The former Los Angeles Lakers forward responded with a blizzard of his own terming Dinwiddie as “delusional”. Many voices from the NBA community have chimed in on the debate, including Draymond Green.

The spat has made waves in the NBA realm. And during the latest episode of ‘Undisputed’ Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless weighed in on the bitter contest.

Skip and Shannon Sharpe side with Kyle Kuzma

Generally, you will find the NFL legend and Bayless in a screaming match themselves. The three-time Super Bowl champion screeching “Skip!” rings in the ears of their fans. However, there seemed to be no dispute about who is in the right. As the conversation about the recent build-up between Kuzma and Spencer Dinwiddie came up, both believe the Washington Wizards forward wasn’t left with a real choice.

Sharpe blamed the Nets guard for escalating things: “Spencer Dinwiddie took it there Skip. He could have easily said ‘I don’t have a beef or whatever beef is something he and I get in a room and hash it out. But to make it so publicly and make it so personal, I don’t think Kuz had any choice but to respond and respond in the fashion and harshness in which he did because you came for me”

Skip Bayless quickly agreed with his NFL partner. To add salt to the wound, the revered analyst went on to invalidate everything Dinwiddie had to say about the former Lakers star.

Sharpe couldn’t understand what Dinwiddie was hoping to accomplish from his outburst. “What was Spencer Dinwiddie thinking? What was he hoping to accomplish?”

To end the discussion, the former Denver Broncos tight end wished both parties luck for the future.

Dinwiddie responds to Kuzma’s rampant attack

Spencer Dinwiddie spoke with the media only a night after the fireworks. Defending his actions, he said, “At the end of the day, I spoke truth and I got rebutted with 10 year old insults.”

During the discussions, Bayless pointed out how Kuzma was the third-leading scorer on the Lakers during their 2020 championship run. At first look, it seems to kill the argument Dinwiddie put up about the 27-year-old not being ‘good enough’. But the former Mavericks star had an interesting analogy to prove Kuz was just ‘blessed’.

Finding a connection between the two, Dinwiddie believes Kuzma was lucky to have LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the 2020 Lakers championship, similar to how Fox had Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal as teammates.
