He also left an iconic mark on fans with a fashion choice in the same year, which will soon make a return courtesy of Vanessa Bryant. Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant’s tragic passing in 2020 shook the basketball world. However, everyone, including his family, is slowly but surely recovering from the terrible loss. Naturally, there could be no better way to heal than to remember Bryant’s contributions to the world. Hence, Vanessa Bryant made sure that the Black Mamba’s legacy is carried on by a thoughtful gift for the youngsters.

As Kobe’s significant other, Vanessa made a promise to the fans that she would continue her late husband’s legacy as long as she will be able to. Recently, Vanessa gave some young NCAA athletes a taste of the Black Mamba’s legacy.

Vanessa Bryant’s ‘Grinch’ offering to Female NCAA athletes to honor Kobe Bryant

After the Black Mamba and his daughter Gianna Bryant’s unfortunate demise three years ago, the whole world had its heartstrings broken. In an attempt to hold on to Bryant and her daughter forever, fans resorted to buying out his famous sneaker line, the Nike Kobe’s, which is possibly one of the favorite sneakers amongst players themselves.

The shortage was so apparent, that Vanessa Bryant had to acknowledge the lack of supplies that Nike’s Kobe line was facing, and promised that the fans will soon be a part of the Kobe legacy. Although Kobe Bryant’s partnership with Nike came to an end in 2021, Vanessa and the popular sports apparel company made sure that they sorted things out to be back on track in March 2022.

Hence, 2023 saw the return of the iconic Nike Sneaker line on the shelves, including one new Nike Kobe 4 Protro colorway, the Nike Kobe 6 Protro ‘Reverse Grinch,’ and the launch of the Nike Kobe 8 Protro. 

Recently, Vanessa made sure that the youngsters get a feel of the Black Mamba’s iconic sneaker line as she gifted the LSU Women’s team the famous Kobe 6 ‘Grinches’. The stark green shoes made the young ladies grin from ear to ear as they pulled out their phones to show off one of the rarest basketball sneakers in the market.

Fans react to LSU Women’s team being gifted the rare Kobe 6 ‘Grinches’ 

The ‘Grinch’ stole Christmas nine months early as the LSU Women’s Basketball was presented with one of the most sought-after sneakers in the world. The gorgeous Kobe 6 ‘Grinches’ made many fans gawk and broil in jealousy, especially the sneakerheads who’ve been restlessly looking for the shoes in the resale market. With the big plans lined up for this calendar year, fans can expect even the ‘Grinch’ to make a possible return on Nike’s shelves
