Is Shaquille O’Neal back in the dating game? At least, that’s what Shaq indicated in his podcast. In the recent episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq, the NBA legend talked about the mother of a specific basketball player. O’Neal compared the basketball star’s mother to actress Dorothy Dandridge, who, according to co-host Nischelle Turner was Shaq’s first love. The conversation took place in the latest episode of the podcast which was released on October 28, 2022.

In one of the earlier podcast episodes, Shaquille O’Neal had challenged co-host Anthony Adams to do the ‘THOT Daddy Thursdays’. When asked what it meant, Shaq explained that all the dads would post a shirtless photo of themselves every Thursday, as a way of appreciating their bodies. Since then, the THOT Daddy Thursday topic has been coming up in every other Shaq podcast. In the latest episode, Shaq informed his co-hosts that his first video of the THOT Daddy Thursday series received over five million views. Adams then asked how many of the viewers were moms. In response, Shaq said ‘moms can get it too’ which hilariously cracked up his co-hosts.

However, what Nischelle said next might have been more intriguing for all the single moms out there. Nischelle reminded their listeners of the time Shaq was awestruck by basketball player DiDi Richards’ mother.

DiDi Richards’ mother reminds Shaquille O’Neal of Dorothy Dandridge

In 2021, Baylor Lady Bears basketball player DiDi Richards appeared on ‘Inside the NBA’ through a video conference. Richards talked about her NCAA comeback after staying off the court due to a spinal cord injury. Halfway through the interview, Richards’ mother, Ungeanetta Richards appeared in the frame and she did not go unnoticed by Shaq. As if co-host, Candace Parker’s compliment wasn’t enough, the Big Aristotle sought out his own peculiar way of praising Richards’ mother.

“Hey D-Wade, I got a new website called, ‘d*mn yo momma fine,'” the Los Angeles Lakers legend told Dwyane Wade, who laughed it out.

Recalling the funny incident, Nischelle talked about how Shaq was looking at Richard’s mother, who according to her, was ‘fine’.

“You know why? Because when I look at DiDi Richards’ mother, I was like, ‘D*mn! Dorothy Dandridge is back.’ That’s what she was looking like,” said Shaq.

Shaq and his ex-wife officially separated in 2011. Since then, O’Neal has been in quite a few relationships. The former Lakers superstar’s last known relationship was with actress Annie Ilonzeh Ngozi. The couple reportedly began dating in 2019. However, it is yet to be known if they are still together or have decided to call it quits.
