Shaquille O’Neal once called Snoop Dogg for a commercial deal while having his head shaved at a barbershop. The Big Diesel has been doing commercials for the auto insurance company The General for some time now. Apparently, Snoop Dogg had been pestering Shaquille O’Neal for a long time to get him a similar deal.

Therefore, Shaq decided to FaceTime Snoop Dogg in the middle of a hair shaving session. He had a member of The General’s marketing and PR department with him. After a few minutes of conversation, the famous rapper got the green signal to star in The General’s future commercials.

Shaquille O’Neal has starred in quite a few TV ads for the auto insurance company The General.

“I’ve been getting bugged by my homie Snoop“, Shaq explained, “he’s like man, ‘I want to do a General commercial. I want to do a General commercial‘”.

Therefore, Shaq introduced Snoop to an employee of the company’s PR wing on FaceTime. Snoop Dogg wasted no time in getting to the point. “I tell Shaq I am a big fan of The General“, said Snoop, “so I want to get in“.

Snoop Dogg did indeed star in a General commercial. In the commercial, Snoop Dogg drives by in a dancing pink car with the animated avatar of the company as two guys witness the sight in utter astonishment.

Meanwhile, Shaq definitely deserves credit for the commercial. In fact, the Los Angeles Lakers legend took the first initiative to introduce Snoop to the marketing execs of the company.
