Shaquille O’Neal is impressed with the Aces

During the podcast, Nischelle Turner asked Candace Parker whether it is an era of super teams in the WNBA. She pointed out Parker’s recent move to the Las Vegas Aces, which created a super team. The Aces are the reigning champions. Turner then discussed Breanna Stewart and Courtney Vandersloot joining the New York Liberty. Parker replied that it looks like a super team on paper but noted that many super teams do not work out like the one recently demonstrated by the Brooklyn Nets. The two-time WNBA MVP added she is excited to play quality basketball and that they can have this conversation at the end of the year.

Nischelle then asked Shaquille O’Neal for his view. When Shaq wanted to say something, Parker hilariously warned him not to. The four-time NBA champion said that he is happy for Candace. He added, “Let me tell you something. Aja Wilson is mean. Candace down there is mean. To see them play together, it’s gonna be scary. And the one beautiful chick that has a strong arm. I don’t wanna mess her name.”

The seven-time WNBA All-Star reminded him it was Kelsey Plum. Shaq continued, “Kelsey Plum. Beautiful, gorgeous, the way she played like, ‘Lets go!’ I’m in Vegas in the summer I’m probably gonna have to come check them out.”

It looks like O’Neal was impressed with Plum and the Aces. Candace then welcomed DJ Shaq for a Las Vegas Aces party and the 2000 NBA MVP obliged.
