Ben Simmons started the game for Brooklyn Nets against the Dallas Mavericks. Entering the match, he was averaging 5.2 points per game as the Nets had a 1-3 start to the season. However, the pressure was on him to perform and help the team in the best possible way. But that didn’t help Simmons, who struggled against the Mavs.

In a give-and-go situation against the Mavs in the 1st quarter, Ben Simmons failed to convert a layup. It was a fairly wide-open basket, but the 26-year-old couldn’t even touch the rim with his attempt. But he bounced back in the final quarter with an insane steal to help the Nets equal the score by the end of regulation time.

The Brooklyn Nets haven’t had the best of starts to the new season. Ben Simmons is also off to a muddled start, as he was fouled out in two of the first three games. Despite playing an average of 29.5 mins before the Mavs game, Simmons’ average was 5.3 points. He joined the Brooklyn Nets to form a trio alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.

But the Australian point guard has been far from his best and is yet to win over the fans in Brooklyn. The video of his airball play went viral on social media, leading to many reactions from NBA fans.

Although Simmons may not be having a good game, he has had his moments. During the last few seconds of the game against the Mavs, Simmons helped the team out in defense and managed to steal off Luka Doncic. He then went on to assist Kevin Durant for a dunk to tie the score by the end of regulation.
