Following the game, the internet was flooded with supporters sharing their remarks, and the blame game began.
Bill Simmons openly rips Kevin Durant and the Nets
Minutes after the game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Indiana Pacers was over, Bill Simmons posted a tweet. The tweet said: “Nash is obviously gonna be Fall Guy #1 for the Nets… but the Simmons trade was a catastrophe, Kyrie is one of the biggest week to week distractions in recent NBA history, and the front office has absolutely stunk for two-plus years.”
Since Steve Nash took over as head coach of the Nets in 2020, the team has undoubtedly failed to deliver. Last season, the Nets got swept by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs. This year, players like Ben Simmons continue to put in poor performances, while Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have had good games so far. But, in the end, their efforts have been for nothing as the team finds themselves with a 1-5 record so far this season.
