“I’ve seen the greatest basketball players in the world as a job. That’s why I call it the best job in the world. I was there the night LeBron James scored 30 straight points. I got to watch Kobe Bryant, one of the 10 greatest basketball players ever.”

Barkley added that as a retired player, he and several others are enthralled watching basketball games. Legends often converse with each other and ask whether the other saw the game. That is because former players know nothing else but their love for basketball. And it is in their constitution to watch and appreciate the game they love.

“It’s funny when you meet old basketball players, we all talk about ‘hey did you watch that game the other night? Yeah, I was watching that game!’. Because that’s all you’re going to do. It’s a part of your DNA, it’s a part of your life.”
