“Best Part Time Player in the League”: Major Kawhi Leonard News Leaves NBA Fans in Disbelief

Kawhi Leonard is all set to make a comeback tonight after missing 12 straight games due to his knee injury. Although it is good news for the Los Angeles Clippers and their fans, at the same time, NBA fans on the internet are in disbelief. As one of the fans reacted to the news and said, “Best part-time player in the league.” This is because of Leonard’s history of injuries and being benched.

It all started last season when Leonard injured his right knee. Furthermore, the Clippers initially assumed it was a minor injury, but it turned out to be a partial ACL tear in his right knee. Then he had surgery and was out for the rest of the season. Leonard appeared in 52 games for the 2020-2021 season, averaging 24.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game.

After getting torched by Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in their last game, the Los Angeles Clippers will meet the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night. Furthermore, Hoop Central posted a tweet that said, “Kawhi Leonard will play tonight.”

Leonard made his last appearance in the third regular season game against the Phoenix Suns. And the world is hopeful to see the two-time NBA champion return in tonight’s game.

Despite the absence of Kawhi Leonard, the Los Angeles Clippers have made a decent start to the season, currently in 9th place on the points table with an 8-7 record so far. Even after losing 7 out of their 15 games, they managed to keep their percentile above .500. Furthermore, Leonard’s presence will definitely help the scoring attack of the Clippers which was led by Paul George.

Additionally, Leonard appears to be ready to return tonight, as coach Ty Lue intends to rest veteran point guard John Wall. The NBA world has yet to see the prime of Kawhi Leonard this season. Fans will hope Kawhi can stay healthy and enjoy a long run of games on the court.
