Giannis Antetokounmpo gave everyone a glimpse of what he is all about. The Eastern Conference semifinal game 1 between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Boston Celtics ended in the favor of the away team. TD Garden had very little to celebrate as the Bucks ran away with the game. Giannis’ had a performance worthy of praise from the legendary Magic Johnson.

The Celtics were flat footed at their home. They only had more points than the Bucks in the 3rd quarter. The Bucks led the Celtics all game. Boston fans saw their team chase the points all game.

The Celtics were in the lead for most of the first quarter but the Bucks ended the quarter strongly and it was an uphill battle for Jayson Tatum and co. Only Tatum managed to get 21 points. Other than him no other player entered the 20s. On the other hand, Giannis Antetokounmpo dropped a triple double and was supported by Jrue Holiday’s 25 points.An inspired performance from Giannis made the victory rather comfortable.

Magic Johnson heaps big praise on Giannis Antetokounmpo that upsets fans

Giannis scored 24 points along with 13 rebounds and 12 assists in a 101-89 win for the Bucks. A dominating performance worthy of praise. However, Magic Johnson tweeted and claimed Giannis to be the best player in the NBA.

The NBA fans on twitter were not particularly happy with the words from the Lakers legend. Magic, in turn, faced the backlash of fans as they were upset about Magic naming Giannis the best basketball player in basketball.

The NBA fans clearly miss King James. The Los Angeles Lakers failed to fight for the playoffs as they could not qualify for the playin tournament after finishing 11th. Even in such a poor season, LeBron averaged 30.3 points per game. A clear suggestion that he would have been in top notch form in the post season as well. After all, LeBron James has averaged 28.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists in 266 games in the NBA playoffs. LeBron James is the player with the most points in the playoffs with 7,631 points. Giannis on the other hand just showed in game 1, why he is rated so highly. The Celtics need to improve their game and show up ready for the next game. Jayson Tatum needs to step up and show up clutch for his team. Because Giannis has already shown how he is going to approach this game series with the impact on the first game.
