The Portland Trail Blazers went up against the Phoenix Suns on Friday night. Arguably considered the underdogs of the league, the Trail Blazers emerged victorious over the Suns. The game took place at the Moda Center on October 22, 2022. The Suns were leading in the first half by 12 points but it didn’t take long for the Trail Blazers to keep up with their opponents. By the fourth quarter, they had caught up to the Suns as both teams were tied at 79.

While they were neck on neck throughout the game, the Trail Blazers pulled through as they beat the Phoenix Suns by a close 113-111. Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker was the team’s highest scorer with 33 points, 3 assists, and 5 rebounds. Behind him was Deandre Ayton with 26 points, 3 assists, and 6 rebounds. Fellow teammate Mikal Bridges added 13 more points with 6 assists and 7 rebounds. However, their efforts still turned out to be insufficient to beat their opponents on the night.

The Trail Blazers were led by NBA star Damian Lillard who scored 41 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Teammate Jusuf Nurkic helped out the team by scoring 20 points, 17 rebounds, and 2 assists. However, the star of the show turned out to be Anferee Simons.
