Seattle’s move from the NBA

Surprisingly, there’s a lot of scope for Seattle, to get back on the league. Seattle, The Emerald City has been considered a prime location for an NBA team. With a strong basketball tradition, Seattle would be an ideal home for the league.

The Seattle Supersonics were a professional basketball team that played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 1967 to 2008. The team was based in Seattle, and have won the NBA championship in 1979.

In 2008, SuperSonics moved to Oklahoma City, and became known as the Oklahoma City Thunder. Since then, there has been no professional basketball team in Seattle. Unless this recent announcement of planning to add two new teams for the upcoming season to the league.

While this news may be too late for fans who are still hoping that Sonics’ name might one day come back, at least now there could potentially be more basketball action right here in their own backyard!
