Currently, Jeanie Buss, the daughter of the legendary Jerry Buss, owns the team, and she has had some unique experiences leading the team. But none of them was weirder when OJ Simpson came into the Lakers’ game and had his car towed.
Back in the day, OJ Simpson was one of the most polarizing figures in America. He was one of the best players in NFL history, but that is not all he was known for. OJ was involved in the trial of the century, which was watched by millions around the globe. And despite insurmountable odds, OJ was pronounced not guilty on multiple charges.

And by 1995, OJ was one of the most famous people in the US, and for all the wrong reasons. So when he decided to go to a Lakers game immediately after his acquittal, this caused a conundrum for Jeanie.

Jeanie Buss was recently on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, where was talking about her experience as an owner. When asked about what was the weirdest experience at a Lakers game she has been into, she said, “You know, I guess the weirdest thing was right after OJ Simpson got acquitted. You know he was coming to a game and I had to talk to the staff and say”
“You know what he’s like anybody else who has a ticket, we have to show him, you know respect and make sure he’s treated like any other paying guest.”

“So he came to the game, but he illegally parked at the forum. So they towed his car, you just can’t get away with everything”

Jeanie made sure the staff treated him the same way they would treat any other guest. But it was an awkward situation when his car was towed. Jeanie treated him with respect, but sometimes people act the way they want to and they get caught for it most times.
