He is currently playing for the Los Angeles Lakers with high hopes that he will break the NBA record for most points scored in the league by the end of the 2022-23 season. Back in 2014, James moved back to the Cleveland Cavaliers to begin his second stint with the team after winning two NBA Championships with the Miami Heat. Moving back to Ohio meant that he wouldn?t need his amazing waterfront mansion back in Miami. The Lakers superstar sold his Miami mansion in 2015 for an impressive profit.

LeBron James decided in 2014 that he would leave the Miami Heat to go back to his first NBA team and home, Cleveland Cavaliers. The four-time NBA Champions? exact reasoning for leaving Miami is not known.

But it is highly speculated that James wanted to win an NBA title for his home state of Ohio. And he also wanted to bring the trophy back to the city of Cleveland after a long time. The superstar naturally moved his assets on the market as he started his move.

The mansion had been listed on the market for $17 Million on October 2014. Eventually it was sold after the price gradually dropped.

In 2015, a year after his departure from the Miami side, LeBron James sold his waterfront Miami mansion for a reported profit of $4.4 Million. According to Darren Rovell of ESPN, the then-Cavaliers superstar sold the mansion at $13.4 million.? He bought the house at $9 Million in 2010.

The Los Angeles Lakers star did not have an easy way to the four NBA rings that he possesses. After spending seven years with the Cleveland side initially, James decided to move to Miami for a better chance at winning the championship.

After winning two NBA championships with the Miami Heat the current Lakers no. 23 decided to come back to his hometown in an attempt to return sporting glory to the city of Cleveland.
