After 19 years at the highest level, LeBron James has won 4 NBA titles, 4 MVPs, and broke countless other records. Apart from all these titles, LeBron made another mark on history. In June 2022, King James added another title to his collection – the title of a ‘billionaire’. This year LeBron crossed $1 billion in net worth. In doing so, he became the only active player in the NBA ever to become a billionaire. Moreover, he became only the third billionaire athlete in the world.

LeBron’s latest contract with the Lakers is worth around $42.5 million per year. He is one of the highest-paid athletes as well. But where does the new billionaire LeBron stand in comparison to the world’s richest man?

It is actually an amazing and astonishing fact at the same time. LeBron earns $11,280 per minute of one game. Whereas Elon Musk earns $22,500 every minute. LeBron earns almost exactly half of what Elon does. Musk is worth $256.1 billion. With LeBron “just” $1 billion in net worth, it seems a really small number in comparison to what Musk is worth.

Naturally, Elon Musk pretty much works every minute, in the sense that he earns every minute. Whereas for LeBron, this is for per minute every game. Obviously, LeBron also has other investments, but they’re nowhere near compared to Elon Musk’s.

LeBron James rejecting Elon Musk’s $62.5 Million Offer

When LeBron was traded from the Cavs to the Lakers, he received an interesting offer from billionaire Elon Musk. He offered James his old home.

As a gesture, Elon offered properties worth $62.5 million to welcome King James to LA. Naturally, LeBron couldn’t accept that. And he just said that it wasn’t fit for him.

LeBron James made his NBA debut in 2003. He played his first game in the Cleveland Cavaliers jersey as an 18-year-old straight out of high school, looking to prove everyone of his mantle. The hype around him was unreal. Everyone in the league was aware of his talent and potential. He was the 1st draft pick in the 2003 draft and even he himself would not have imagined the heights would go on to achieve. Not only on the court, but also off of it.
