Stephen Curry and his 2021-22 season will be unforgettable for Dubs fans and Curry himself. As the dust settles on the last season, fans are getting to know the true greatness of the four-time NBA Champion. Many wouldn’t think twice about him being awarded the Sportsperson of the Year 2022 award by Sports Illustrated after last season’s showing. However, very few would know how his heart went out to people in need since he started his career.

Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry have been known to do extensive charity work with their Eat. Play. Learn foundation. But little do fans know that Curry used to give away $100 bills in the Bay area as a rookie.

Stephen Curry is set to become a billionaire in the future with his upcoming lifetime deal with Under Armour. His deals with many companies will contribute to this Herculean achievement. But the 34-year-old didn’t shy away from sharing his fortune with people who genuinely need it. Curry and his wife Ayesha’s Eat. Learn. Play foundation has aimed to feed and help underserved kids in Oakland.

The foundation, as of now has fed 25 million kids, raised $2.5 million on literacy grants, and has given out over 500k books. But the four-time NBA Champion didn’t wait to become a near billionaire to help people in need. The Golden State Warriors superstar understood how privileged he was and decided to share his newly earned money in the community. Hence, Curry distributed $100 Bills in the Bay Area to the less fortunate when he was just a rookie.

 Curry entered the league in 2009, dropping out of college with a year left on his degree. It turned out to be a good decision for him but he never forgot about the people who don’t get such opportunities.

The Currys have touched the lives of many children, impacting their futures and leaving good memories for them. The foundational aspects of the charity are to provide what every child needs, helping them create a better future.
