The Boston Celtics will visit the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis for their battle on Tuesday night at 7 PM ET. The Pacers have had a remarkable start to their season, winning all three of their games till now. But can they continue their winning streak against one of the Eastern powerhouses?
Although Boston is touted as one of the teams to come out of the East, they haven’t had the best start to the season. They have lost 2 of their first 3 fixtures and currently have a record of 1-2. The team will be hoping to turn that around and get a win streak soon.
So far, both Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are looking excellent for the team. Despite losing 2 games, the Celtics can look at their development as a silver lining. Moreover, since Kemba Walker is expected to miss the starting phase of the season. The two need to continue their terrific form if the Celts want to win a ring this year.
Along with Walker, guard Romeo Langford will be sidelined as well. In the recent injury report, center Tacko Fall also won’t suit up for the Tuesday night game due to an issue with his eye. Keeping the injuries in mind, the expected lineup for the Celtics is Marcus Smart (G), Jaylen Brown (G), Jayson Tatum (F), Tristan Thompson (F), and Daniel Theis (C).
The Pacers are one of the 4 teams that are still undefeated this season. They have had a perfect 3-0 start behind stellar performances from Domantas Sabonis and Victor Oladipo. The two are playing at an elite level. In fact, Sabonis was even named the Eastern Conference player of the week for his contributions.
As far as their injury report is concerned, there are no new additions to it. They are expected to enter the court with a lineup of Malcolm Brogdon (G), Victor Oladipo (G), TJ Warren (F), Domantas Sabonis (F), and Myles Turner (C).
Last time the two sides matched, they produced an absolutely thrilling game. The Pacers were victorious by just 1 point and will be hoping to do the same. Honestly, with the momentum they have right now, they might have a slight edge in their rematch against the Celtics.
