Luka Doncic just made history. The Dallas Mavericks star became the first player in three decades to score at least 30 points in the first six games of the season. Additionally, Doncic also has a record of scoring at least 20 points in 19 consecutive games. The last player to maintain the impressive streak was ‘His Airness’ himself. The former Chicago Bulls great had set the record back in 1986. Notably, this isn’t the first time Doncic has broken a record previously set by Jordan.

In 2019, Doncic surpassed MJ’s record for the highest number of straight 20-5-5 games in the league’s history. Doncic set the record during the Mavs game against the Sacramento Kings. The 23-year-old NBA star finished the game with 27 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds. When asked to give his thoughts on the major achievement, Doncic was overwhelmed by being mentioned in the same sentence as Michael Jordan.
