29-year-old Kyrie Irving is a proven match-winner. With a fit trio of superstars in Durant, Irving and Harden, the Nets looked deadlier than ever. However, owing to an internal dispute, the franchise took a late call that they wish to trade the All-star. This would leave the team fending for themselves, if they cannot find a replacement soon. The former NBA champion however, has reportedly contemplated retirement if he makes an exit from the franchise. And the latest statement will not please him either.

As released by GM Sean Marks, the press release reads, “Given the evolving nature of the situation and after thorough deliberation, we have decided Kyrie Irving will not play or practice with the team until he is eligible to be a full participant. Kyrie has made a personal choice, and we respect his individual right to choose. Currently the choice restricts his ability to be a full time member of the team, and we will not permit any member of our team to participate with part time availability.” In the statement that follows, Marks details the goals of the team for the upcoming campaign.
