Los Angeles Lakers great LeBron James has had an incredible NBA career so far. The 4x NBA champion has gone on to become the first active NBA player to become a billionaire. Owing to his popularity, every fan swarms in wherever he goes, wanting a piece of him. However, former Lakers star Kwame Brown’s statement regarding James’ stardom recently caught the attention of fans. NBA Twitter flooded in with hilarious comments to take a dig at Brown. 

The Washington Wizards picked Kwame Brown as the first pick of the 2001 NBA draft. Notably, Brown had played alongside Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan during his final season with the Wizards. He played for seven franchises across his 12-season NBA career, averaging 6.6 points in 607 games. In a recent podcast, he commented on James’s popularity and claimed that James can never be him.

In a recent episode of ‘The Pivot Podcast’, Kwame Brown made an interesting statement about Lebron James. Following the podcast, Legion Hoops, a Twitter handle quoted Brown’s statement in their tweet. The tweet read, “I think it was better being a bust… LeBron can’t do what I do… They take pictures of him everywhere he goes, I was a bust ain’t nobody takes pictures of me everywhere I went.

Following the tweet, the fans swarmed the comments section with hilarious reactions mocking the former player. One user said, “Bro can work at McDonalds without having to get bugged about being a former NBA player mad respect .”

The Lakers currently sit in 13th place on the Western Conference table with a 22-26 record so far. While their playoff hopes seem to be slipping away, LeBron James is doing all he can to drag his team to the post-season. James has averaged 29.6 PPG, 8.5 RPG, and 6.9 APG in 37 games so far this season.
